Wisconsin-Based Indoor Marching Arts Ensemble to Compete in Winter Guard International (WGI) Winds Division in 2018
Forward Performing Arts and the Madison Scouts are pleased to introduce Fleurish Winds, a co-ed marching arts ensemble that will compete in the Winter Guard International (WGI) Winds division in 2018. Fleurish Winds will be based in Northwest Wisconsin with Adam Bassak as Director. Adam is joined by Mike Marcantano and Brad Tilley, who will be responsible for design and educational leadership. “The growing talent pool in northwest Wisconsin and the Twin Cities area has created a great need for the marching arts beyond the scholastic level.” stated Bassak. “Fleurish Winds will offer members from Wisconsin and Minnesota an outstanding educational experience in music, movement, and performance.”
“Forward Performing Arts is committed to creating new performance and educational opportunities for students across the state of Wisconsin,” stated FPA program Director, Dann Petersen. “We are excited to add a group in this rapidly growing division in the marching arts. Adam and his team are amazing at what they do, Fleurish Winds is certain to be a success coming out of the gate.”
Fleurish Winds will audition musicians on all wind instruments, front ensemble and guard. More details around Fleurish Winds’ 2018 season will be announced in the coming weeks, along with educational staff and audition dates.
